The Season of Pentecost

The season of Pentecost is a joyous season of the liturgical church year.  From now until November we will focus our worship on our growth in faith through the work of the Holy Spirit. 

This week we see how the Holy Spirit Creates New Hearts through the message of the gospel.

"This is the word of faith we are proclaiming: That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10

Sunday School & Bible Class

In Sunday School on May 11 the children learned that as God did with Paul, so God does with us. Through the Law we are crushed by the weight of our sin and are helpless. As God revived Paul through the gospel (Acts 9:1–31), He revives us through the gospel in the proclamation of His Word and the administration of His Sacraments granting forgiveness, life, and salvation to all who believe. Talk to your children about how the Sacraments and God’s Word revive you so that you may live as God’s child.
